School starts in a few weeks, here in Champaign-Urbana. Even though I haven’t been in school for many years, I still feel a sense of possibility and excitement with the idea of blank notebooks, new classes, and unfamiliar teachers. When I was younger I would make all sorts of proclamations about how I would study, get involved, exercise. The start of a new school year is a perfect reset button. Honestly, it is better than New Years Day.
So, let’s get on it together. Summer is over and it’s time for Saturday Morning Retreats to start up again. The next retreat will be The End Of Summer Reset; otherwise known as The EOS Reset. Saturday, August 29th, 9a.m.-noon at Philo Presbyterian Church in the ever lovely Philo, IL. (I know you want to come just to see what a town named Philo looks like, don’t you? It is quite idyllic, honestly.)
I think I probably have needed a reset button on a few other seasons of my life. It sounds like a good idea. It has actually been a great summer, but I am ready to close it up and set my sights on the year ahead, or at least the fall.
So, let’s do some yoga together, laugh, tell how we spent our summer vacation, lie on the floor. I will bring some snacks so that we don’t starve. You bring a bottle of water, $20 (or what works for you), a yoga mat and any props you might need. Invite friends and family. Bring yourself to Central Illinois for the weekend. It will be so great to see you. Please let me know you are coming so I can be excited to see you again! And if you have any questions or concerns, please let me know. You can reply on here or just send me (Rachel) an email at dailybreadyoga@gmail.com.
Let’s press the RESET button and start over, eh?
Peace on your fine head,
Rachel
